ABOUT WOIVA

Woiva is a family owned small fishing-business located in the heartland of Aland Islands (or Åland, in Swedish). Åland is located between Sweden and Finland. Åland is called ”Ahvenanmaa” in Finnish. ”Ahven” means perch and ”maa” means land. With a somewhat playful and appropriate translation ”Ahvenanmaa” can be directly translated to ”The Island of Perch.” It is a name that we at Woiva think is very suitable for what we do!

Because of this translation Woiva’s slogan is: ”HIGH QUALITY FROM THE ISLAND OF PERCH” and we proudly mark all our products with this black circular label.
